Welcome!

After several years of putting together a fairly involved Christmas Light display and being asked a lot of questions, I figured that creating a web site would be a great way to share some basic information about how and why I do this.

I have always been a big fan of Christmas and the Holiday Season in general. As my kids have grown, so have the number of lights that I put out each year. I was looking for something new and different to change things up a bit. Then I saw a video clip that was being passed around everyone's email in-box with some crazy guy's house with dancing lights set to music. That was it! That's what I wanted to do! Seven years ago I purchased my first 8-channel light controller and started playing around with animating the lights. Then I added music, and more controllers, and more lights. In 2010 I had 248 computer-controlled channels running about 50,000 lights

.

As the display has grown and the number of visitors has gone up, I saw an opportunity to use the display for a good cause. The overwhelming majority of the people that come by and watch the show go away happy with smiles on their faces. That's what I love the most about doing this. Why not use this happy holiday atmosphere to raise money for a great cause? I am currently looking for a charity for the 2012 season.
